We are looking for a Boutique & Production Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our boutique and studio.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position with approximately 75% of the role focused on boutique and general operations and 25% assisting with light production and studio tasks.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Responsibilities
Boutique & Operations – Approximately 75%
- Welcome clients and provide a professional and friendly experience.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general client inquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, fittings, pickups, and other activities.
- Help keep daily schedules organized and communicate appointments to the team.
- Assist with customer orders, packaging, shipping, returns, and pickups.
- Receive and organize deliveries and merchandise.
- Maintain organization of the boutique, showroom, fitting rooms, and studio areas.
- Assist with inventory organization and general administrative tasks.
- Prepare the boutique and showroom for client appointments.
- Help ensure the overall environment is clean, organized, and presented to a high standard.
Production & Studio Assistance – Approximately 25%
- Assist with basic garment preparation and finishing.
- Prepare garments and materials for fittings.
- Assist with pressing, steaming, folding, labeling, and organizing garments.
- Help prepare fabrics, trims, and materials for production.
- Assist production team members with basic sewing or hand-finishing tasks, depending on experience.
- Keep production areas and workstations clean and organized.
- Assist with general studio tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Professional and comfortable interacting with clients.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Interested in fashion and luxury products.
- Previous experience in fashion, retail, boutique operations, or a studio environment is an asset.
- Basic sewing or garment-handling experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to reliably commute to our North York location.
