United Floral Distributors (UFD) is looking for an experienced floral sales professional to join our team. We are a floral wholesaler, providing cut flowers, plants, bouquets and greenery to customers across Ontario and the northeastern United States. We are looking for an individual who has 3-5 years minimum experience in the floral industry, who excels in customer service and has a passion for selling, and someone who is self-motivated and driven. This sales position is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Wages are competitive based on a salary/commission pay structure.
Responsibility
- Manage your customer base which includes accurately receiving and entering customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers (via phone, email, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Knowledge of flower and plants in order to assist customers with their floral needs
- Comprehend customer needs and requirements
- Knowledge and experience with working with computers, excellent typing and computer skills
- Communicate with other staff to ensure orders are fulfilled and customers are satisfied.
- Maintain and build a customer base.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in floral sales is required
- Strong Sales and Customer Service Skills
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Accurate and detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate Computer Skills (w/ MS Office knowledge and typing)
- Develop and maintain a customer database
- Good negotiation and problem solving skills
- Develop sales proposals and participate in sales events as needed
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, rotating Saturday mornings (once every 2 months or so).
Compensation: The successful candidate will be taking over a full desk with an existing customer base. Compensation will be based on a set pay structure that includes salary plus commission.
