Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Operations and Performance, the Senior Manager, Enterprise Pharmacy Operations and Programs is responsible for supporting the implementation of Pharmacy Operations projects that will help with promoting operational excellence and pharmacy operations best practices across the enterprise. Focused on our core initiatives, this role will work to optimize pharmacy performance and workload planning from an operational pharmacy perspective. This role is a significant liaison between Central Office departments, store teams and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations
- Required to manage and assist in the delivery of pharmacy related initiatives that drive pharmacy performance
- Takes a leadership role in the research, recommendations, implementation, and sustainment of store level pharmacy operations. Looks for opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize in-store pharmacy processes to improve performance, efficiencies & productivity.
- Provide Operational guidance on programs and initiatives working with Central Pharmacy Services, Enterprise Operations Development & Systems, Pharmacy Services, Health & Wellness, Procurement, Supply Chain, Merchandising, National Operations, Professional Affairs and Marketing
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, to provide pharmacy operations perspective and guidance
- Lead in designing framework for short and longer-term strategies for pharmacy operations and dispensary workflow
- Act as a liaison with other departments representing national pharmacy operations innovation, ensuring that performance metrics and expectations are adhered to, results are effectively communicated
- Drive execution of programs and performance culture in collaboration with field Operators
- Support Pharmacy Operations Specialists and District managers, along with providing training and coaching on new and existing pharmacy initiatives to support successful implementation and rollout.
- Support the development and review of content for the weekly national pharmacy operations update, content for field resources on the bi-weekly national operations call, quarterly meetings (VP and Peers), and national meetings.
What You’ll Need
- Being a Licensed Pharmacist - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy / Part A, in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) or other Canadian College body
- 3 to 6 years of relevant Healthcare, Pharmacy, Consulting, or Retail Management experience. Experience as a Pharmacist in Canada for at least 3 years is required
- Proven capacity to drive results without authority and ability to build collaborative relationships cross-functionally; actively engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, experienced at establishing relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interpret and present results (both written and verbal) in an engaging, meaningful way for internal users
- A creative thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional project and change management skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and training skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, are essential
- Extremely Proficient in the use of Power Point, Excel, Word
- Fluency in French and English is an asset
- Ability to travel 30% of the time
