Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction tasks, providing a solid foundation for a career in the building trades. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work safely on diverse projects
- Learn and perform concrete forming using insulated concrete forms
- Support restoration projects, including siding installation and repair
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and layout tools effectively
- Participate in framing, siding, drywall, painting, tiling, and other carpentry tasks using woodworking skills
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure project efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized job site
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is required, knowing you’re way around a construction site will be a requirement.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous
- Ability to read basic schematics and blueprints is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions is essential
- Strong willingness to learn new skills related to concrete finishing, welding, and heavy equipment operation
- Prior exposure to restoration work or siding installation is beneficial but not necessary
