Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to grow and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales growth while maintaining operational efficiency.
Duties
- Lead day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing, scheduling, cash management, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS transactions
- Manage purchasing and pricing strategies to optimize profitability and stock levels
- Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction levels
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Oversee cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks with accuracy
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide ongoing training & development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations
- Report regularly to the Owner on sales, staffing, and operational issues
- Monitor store performance against sales targets and budgets set with the Owner, and take action to hit goals
Experience
- 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience (or equivalent leadership experience)
- Comfort with sales targets, budgets, and basic reporting
- Demonstrated proficiency in merchandising and inventory control
- Skilled in negotiation, marketing, and customer service excellence
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, bookkeeping, and administrative functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills along with proficiency in math for accurate cash handling and financial recordkeeping
