Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Live Productions-Ontario, you will be responsible to actively grow the business through creating project based opportunities in the much diversified sectors served by Solotech for our office in Toronto. Solotech offers its clients an all-in-one technical solution which the candidate will be asked to develop to its full potential.

º Sell and ensure the successful execution of events and entertainment projects in different markets such as : concert events and tours, festivals, major corporate
events, trade shows, television shows, etc.;
º Conduct client needs analysis in order to propose innovative technological solutions, assist them in selecting those best suited to their requirements, including
equipment selection, planning and labour requirements to help realize the customer's vision;
º Prepare quotes for clients: determine client's needs, price and contracts' details;
º Collaborate closely with the project management team, to ensure an on budget and on time delivery of the project;
º Establish, develop and maintain and grow business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization;
º Make presentations and prepare technical specifications for existing and prospective customers;
º Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment;
º Keep up-to-date with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of
pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas;
º Update management on current trends including customer needs, problems, interests, competitive landscape;
º Participate in trade shows if required;
º Seek and make recommendations of new products, be informed about new trends in order to identify future opportunities and successfully manage technical
aspects;
º Ensure follow-up with clients and partners for ongoing projects. Solve customer problems and complaints;
º Attend sales meetings.

Academic training : Post-secondary education in administration, marketing, engineering or project management fields or any relevant education
Experience : A minimum of five years experience in sales with knowledge of the entertainment industry
Required Skills:
º General expertise in specific fields of sound system, lighting, video and rigging;
º Experience in business development;
º Working knowledge of current trends in entertainment technology;
º Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word. PowerPoint);
º Available to work flexible hours;
º A valid driver's license is required;
º Demonstrates highly competitive nature and persistence to drive results;
º Demonstrates excellent skills for selling and a strong customer service orientation;
º Strong relationship and interpersonal skills;
