Norwest Precision Ltd. is seeking a qualified CNC Programmer to join our team at our facility in North York, Ontario.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop, verify and optimize CNC programs using the latest version of Mastercam.
· Program complex turning centres, horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills and multi-axis machining centres.
· Develop machining strategies that maximize productivity, quality, tool life and machine utilization.
· Prepare complete setup documentation including tooling sheets, setup sheets, fixture requirements and work instructions.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive tool lists and tooling assemblies for production.
· Select cutting tools, inserts, workholding and fixturing appropriate for each application.
· Review customer models, drawings and GD&T requirements prior to programming.
· Support prove-outs, troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements.
· Work closely with machinists, inspectors and manufacturing engineers throughout production.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, setup reduction and process standardization.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 10 years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.
· Expert-level Mastercam programming experience.
· Extensive experience programming CNC turning centres and horizontal/vertical boring mills.
· Demonstrated experience programming complex 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining operations.
· Strong understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, work holding and machining process development.
· Extensive experience creating and managing tool lists, setup documentation and tooling assemblies.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models and GD&T.
· Experience machining large fabricated weldments, forgings and castings.
· Experience machining carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and cast iron.
· Experience machining nickel-based alloys (Inconel, Waspaloy, Hastelloy, Monel, etc.) is considered a significant asset.
· General Machinist Certificate or equivalent trade certification is considered an asset.
· Experience with Concepts NREC software is considered an asset.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to machinists and junior programmers.
· Communicate effectively with engineering, quality and operations.
· Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
· Manage multiple projects while meeting production schedules.

Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
