The Faculty comprises three schools offering a wide range of programs and degrees designed to cultivate global citizens who are socially conscious and professionally agile. Home to over 200 faculty members, over 7,600 undergraduate students, and approximately 1,400 graduate students. The Faculty secures roughly $65 million in research funding annually. Research and learning span more than 20 interdisciplinary centres, institutes, and networks, with active collaborations involving universities, government, and over 120 industry partners worldwide.
About the Centre for Career Growth & Experience:
Within Engineering Outreach, the Centre for Career Growth & Experience prepares Engineering students to launch, grow and succeed in their careers. The Centre supports students through career education, experiential and work-integrated learning, and delivers Canada’s third-largest engineering co-op program, enabling more than 4,500 undergraduate and graduate co-op work experiences each year. Through courses, workshops, advising, employer engagement and partnerships across the Faculty, University, and student clubs, teams and societies, the Centre connects students to meaningful professional and skill-development opportunities inside and beyond the classroom.
Reporting to the Director, Outreach and Engagement, the Associate Director leads the Centre for Career Growth & Experience and shapes the future of career, co-op, work-integrated learning and skill-development programming across the Faculty of Engineering. This role provides strategic leadership to a cross-functional team, strengthens partnerships with academic leaders and employers, advances innovative and scalable student supports, and ensures programs remain responsive to emerging workforce needs. Working closely with the Associate Deans, Undergraduate and Graduate, the Associate Director supports seamless academic progression, high-quality co-op pathways, and continued alignment with national accreditation standards.
Strategic & People Leadership
Lead and manage a cross-functional team, fostering career development, collaboration, and a supportive work environment for TMG leaders and unionized employees.
Oversee competitor analyses and market research to stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring program relevance by continuously reviewing student behaviours, skill needs, motivations, and workplace priorities.
