A night shift truck mechanic is needed to manage a fleet of dump trucks, Vacuum trucks, concrete pumping trucks and medium duty Construction support vehicle's, ensuring they are maintained and repaired efficiently during the night shift. This role requires strong leadership, mechanical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime. Responsibilities:.
- Mechanical Expertise: Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining dump trucks, Vacuum trucks, concrete pumping trucks and medium duty Construction support vehicle's including engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and extend the lifespan of the fleet.
- Parts Management: Ensuring adequate inventory of parts and supplies for repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety regulations and procedures for both mechanics and drivers.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identifying and resolving mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Performing: DriveON safety inspections and ensuring the CVOR license's are up to date on all truck
Qualifications:
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License: This is a must-have for performing repairs on commercial vehicles.
- Experience: Several years of experience in fleet maintenance, preferably with dump trucks, Vacuum trucks, concrete pumping trucks and medium duty Construction support vehicle's
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of mechanics.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude: In-depth knowledge of truck systems and components.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with drivers, other mechanics, and management.
