Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, individualized online course sessions in Math and/or English to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Prepare tailored lesson plans that align with each student’s unique needs, learning style, and curriculum requirements.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Create a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages active participation and curiosity.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and session notes to track development over time.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Stay current with educational best practices, curriculum updates, and innovative teaching tools to enhance instruction quality.
Skills
- Able to use Zoom and Google Classroom platforms
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or tutoring capacity.
- Strong knowledge of math and/or English subject matter at various grade levels.
- Demonstrated ability to teach or tutor effectively, adapting methods to meet individual student needs.
- Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with online learning platforms, virtual classroom tools, and digital resources.
- Prior classroom experience or special education training is a plus for supporting diverse learners.
- Background in teaching or tutoring in reading, writing skills, financial literacy, speaking skilss, or related STEM fields are advantageouses.
- Exceptional communication skills to motivate students and collaborate with parents or guardians.
