About the role:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner will support all WSA divisions on all people matters across Canada. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid position based in Burlington, ON with a 2-3 day per week onsite expectation on average. As an HRBP, your primary responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following:

Design and implement HR programs, policies, and practices to support companywide goals and objectives such as training, benefits administration, performance management, and health and safety.
- Act as an HR expert on people matters including multi-province employment standards interpretation to mitigate risk; collaborate with external counsel and senior HR leadership as required for complex cases.
- Provide employee relations support to the organization in compliance with provincial/federal legislative requirements and internal policies, through consultation and investigation of issues that may pose a risk to the company, its reputation and its employees.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and other subject matter experts to create and maintain HR reporting metrics to provide critical business information for senior management.
- Act as a change agent, guiding the business and people through various change management initiatives, including merger and acquisition activities, as the organization grows and evolves.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on talent attraction and retention initiatives.
- Coach and guide business leaders on the execution of HR policies and programs.
- Execute the organization's HR initiatives, providing exceptional customer service and driving process improvement.
- Assist with special projects, employee events, and other activities as directed.
- Be a culture champion by building meaningful programs for the organization with the goal of engaging and recognizing employees.
- Partner with the greater HR team to review employee feedback from various sources including engagement surveys, exit interviews, and external reviews, such as Glassdoor. Leverage feedback to develop new initiatives.
- Lead health and safety initiatives and collaborate closely with the Training & Development and Quality teams on projects related to compliance, content, and audits.
- Manage and track employee leaves and incidents related to WCB/WSIB and LOAs.
- Stay abreast of changes in the Human Resources landscape and bring forward new initiatives to the greater HR team.
What we're looking for:

Completion of post-secondary education, ideally at a Bachelor’s degree level
- CHRP or CHRP in process (or equivalent HR designation)
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a full-cycle HR capacity
- Bilingual in English & French would be an asset
- Knowledgeable of Human Resources best practices, regulations, and legislative change
- Exposure to multi-province HR legislation is strongly preferred
- Experience in a matrixed organization, including those with various subsidiaries
- Experience leveraging tools such as Microsoft Excel (or other BI tools) to calculate costing related to severance
- Exposure to mergers and/or acquisitions and supporting HR initiatives related to these activities
- Ability to assess root cause and successfully advise on complex employee relations issues utilizing effective conflict resolutions skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills with proven ability to influence and negotiate, collaborate, defuse/reconcile, and remedy all stakeholder issues
- Results-oriented through excellent organization/prioritization skills/time management
- Ability to prioritize based on urgency and to handle ad-hock requests
- Knowledge of workplace occupational hazards and safe work practices
- Comfortability in leveraging various tools including MS Office Suite and HRIS programs (bonus for experience with SuccessFactors, DayForce)
