Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our team in a very fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prep and using those prepped ingredients to prepare dishes continuously while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are followed to maintain high standards of food safety.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly after use.
- Help organize the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
- Adhere to health regulations and cleanliness standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive and mature attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and kitchen maintenance.
- Critical thinking and problem solving attributes.
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and adapt to menu changes as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
