Shirecrest Homes Inc./ Advanced Excavating Corp. is looking for a Site Foreman for its operations in the County of Brant and surrounding areas.
Foreman role includes:
· Responsible to oversee all day-to-day activities onsite, which includes supervising, scheduling and coordinating with workers, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment, as required.
· Be able to lead and mentor onsite staff and provide the necessary technical expertise
· Work closely with the project manager to ensure project is being constructed as designed, is on schedule and on budget.
· Be able to actively participate in construction activities alongside onsite staff
· Be able to read and interpret construction drawings, grades and specifications
· Manage multiple projects throughout various stages of construction
· Be able to interact with potential clients, provide detailed scopes of work and estimates for excavation jobs for Advanced Excavating. This would include work, such as; repairs to existing or new septic systems, foundation digs, armour stone installation etc.
· Has a thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
· Promote a positive, respectful and productive team environment
· Ensure compliance with all onsite personnel with the Health and Safety Program to create a safe working environment and adhere to all the safety record keeping requirements.
Experience Required:
· Thorough understanding of residential construction methods, with a minimum of 5 years experience
· Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Technical knowledge and experience in the planning, design, construction and commissioning of transportation, excavation, water and wastewater infrastructure, including best practices and evolving technologies methods.
· Experience with machine operations is required. Supervisory and leadership experience a must.
· Excellent usage of computer applications (Microsoft Office, Teams).
· Procurement experience is an asset.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Languages – English
· Onsite septic installer license is preferred.
· AR Driver license is preferred.
Job requires physical labor, outdoor work, fast paced environment, with some overtime required.
Must have steel toed safety boots, hard hat.
Driving from one location to another is required.
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
