Rembos Inc. is a remanufacturing company in the softwood lumber industry. We buy, sell, and resize lumber for our Canadian and International clients. Our main office and warehouse is located in Brantford, Ontario.

Our company is looking for energetic and driven individuals to join our team of Laborers. The successful candidates will be responsible for cabling rail cars, piling, wrapping, banding, labeling, counting lumber and other general labor duties, such as cleaning and organizing company facilities. We're looking for individuals who are able to think on their feet and make good decisions independently, and we're interested in hiring dependable individuals who are able to work well with others.
Expected Contributions:
- Cable and uncable rail cars containing wood product
- Review work orders
- Handle product from production line
- Pile lumber for lift trucks
- Band and wrap lumber
- Ensure product meets quality assurance standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and yard
- Adhere to all work safety rules and regulations
- Adhere to customer service commitments
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Reliable and ready to work
- Punctual, consistent attendance
- Attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Bending, lifting and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to work at heights
- Works well in a team
- Strong work ethic, self-managed
- Experience working in a lumber mill or yard is an asset (but not required)
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation. The business is not currently located on a direct bus route. The closest bus stop is on Garden Ave.
- Willing to work outdoors. The majority of work is physical and is outdoors. You must dress appropriate for the weather (cool, warm, rain, etc.).
- Must be comfortable working at heights (when working with rail cars)

Starting Pay Rate:
- $18.00-19.50 per hour
- Pay rate increases further once 3 mos. probation is met
- Overtime is paid following 40 hours worked
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
