PCL ENERGY - CARPENTER & APPRENTICE CARPENTERS - Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (Job Number: 212199)
PCL Energy seeks 25 Carpenters including Apprentices for an Industrial project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, up to 5 months duration with an immediate start.

Duties & Responsibilities

Read drawings and accurately interpret and complete calculations
Planning and sequencing of tasks and methods
Measuring, cutting, joining with nails or screws
Leveling, squaring, ensuring; plumb, stability and strength of structures
Familiar with Formwork systems such as Doka or Peri and traditional stick/plywood forms
Work accurately and economically
Follow carpenter trade guidelines and regulations including provincial building codes
Clearly communicate with superintendents, foremen, lead hands and team members
Skills & Qualifications

Journeyperson or red seal an asset
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work in a team or alone
Must be able to take direction
Must be safety conscious and adhere to all PCL safety processes and policies
CSTS 09 (can be provided)
A negative Drug & Alcohol test
Other qualifications may be required
Work Conditions & Remuneration

Must be able to work outside in various types of weather conditions

Various shifts - 5 days on 2 days off
10 hours per day: 8 hours regular time and 2 hours overtime per day
Vacation and Stat paid on each pay cheque
6% RSP contribution
2% matching pension
Total package $47.74 per hour
