Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver chemicals to various industrial, or commercial sites, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload chemical products using forklifts and chemical pumps ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs as needed to maintain optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, delivery logs, and safety compliance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Follow strict safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and spill prevention procedures.
Skills
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment essential for loading and unloading operations.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, especially related to hazardous or chemical materials.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues quickly.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to chemical transportation and handling hazardous materials.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate heavy machinery, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
