Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining spaces, and food handling stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables promptly while providing attentive customer service
- Ensure all food served meets safety standards and proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Experience in cashiering, cashier operations, or cash handling is desirable
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills necessary for processing transactions accurately and upselling menu items
