Job Description
Opadez Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Complex Care Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to an adult male client in the County of Grande Prairie.
This position involves assisting with personal care, mobility, respiratory support, daily living activities, community participation, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the client.
Male applicants are preferred due to the nature of personal care and client preference.
Responsibilities
Personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
Brief and incontinence care
Feeding and meal assistance
Mobility assistance and repositioning
Transfers using mechanical lifts and slings
Wheelchair support and positioning
Respiratory support activities as trained
Exercise and range-of-motion activities
Accompanying client to appointments and community outings
Light housekeeping related to client care
Documentation and reporting of client care
Maintaining client dignity, comfort, and safety
Requirements
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Reliable transportation
Ability to travel to the County of Grande Prairie
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable providing personal care, mechanical lift transfers, and respiratory support
Assets
Home care experience
Complex care experience
Experience with mechanical lifts
Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities
Experience providing personal care
Experience with respiratory support and airway clearance routines
