Job Function Overview
Truck body preparation for paint. Painting various decks, bodies, and parts as per customer's specifications. This also includes sandblasting, masking, paint preparation.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Manufacturing Expectation:
- Use of a variety hand and pneumatic tools for preparation of truck and truck bodies to paint.
- Paint formulation and mixing.
- Ability to be fit tested yearly.
- Operate overhead cranes up to 5 tons.
- Operate forklift.
- Ensure fit, finish and function to meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Perform inspection of your own work.
- Complete Quality Inspection Documentation as required.
- Work effectively and efficiently to complete your work within the job standard.
- Follow all company rules, policies and procedures at all times. (time clock, breaks, lunches, smoking etc.)
- Maintain good housekeeping in work areas throughout and at end of shift.
- Contribute to cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Major Requirements and Competencies:
- At least 3 years’ experience with the use of painting equipment (preferred).
- Able to read drawings work instructions and blueprints.
- Ability to be certified in forklifts and cranes operations.
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours per week: 40 hours a week
