THE ROLE:
The Health Information Services (HIS) Data Analyst collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to create and distribute reports for internal and external use. The HIS Data Analyst will gather data from multiple sources, write queries, clean data, conduct analysis, and assist with developing reports and dashboards. The HIS Data Analyst will support and maintain regular or ad hoc report submissions and requests to provide statistics to internal and external stakeholders.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
· University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Health Administration, or related area
· Experience operating within an advanced analytics environment, including data extraction, cleaning, and reporting
ASSETS:
· Bilingual – English/French (verbal and written)
· Current Registration with Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
· Experience working in a data analytics role in a healthcare environment.
· Minimum one (1) year of experience in a data analytics role involving collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating significant amounts of information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
· Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
· Excellent needs assessment, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Self-directed and strong collaborative skills.
· Ability to extract, clean, analyze, interpret, and report on data from a variety of sources to assist in effective data analysis and interpretation.
· Understanding of dashboard creation, validation, and correction.
· Demonstrated exceptional work performance, attention to detail.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
SALARY RANGE:
· $ 32.05 - $35.02 per hour
