We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Part-Time Barista to join our team at Saudade, a space rooted in community.
As part of our next chapter, our café and bookshop is an extension of our established retail brand, proudly in business for over 11 years.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up while building on a strong, existing foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages (espresso, cortado, latte, galão, etc.)
- Maintain consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and taste
- Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience required (specialty coffee experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and drink building
- Passion for coffee and hospitality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Food Handler Certification required
- Must be available to work evenings and all weekends
