Position Overview
We are looking for skilled and motivated Shop Technicians at all experience levels. This role is the backbone of our service delivery, focusing on the teardown, inspection, repair, assembly, and pressure testing of wellhead equipment and valves to ensure they meet the rigorous demands of the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Remanufacturing & Assembly: Lead the teardown, inspection, repair, and assembly of new and used wellhead equipment and valves.
- Pressure Testing: Perform valve assembly and pressure testing according to API and company safety standards.
- Inspection: Identify wear, damage, and required repairs on critical components to ensure operational integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
- Shop Operations: Safely operate shop equipment including torque tools, presses, testing units, and forklifts.
- Logistics: Assist with shipping and receiving and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Safety Leadership: Strictly follow safety procedures and participate in FLHA/JHA requirements.
Qualifications
Level 1 – Entry Level
- Experience: 0–2 years of mechanical or oilfield experience.
- Aptitude: High mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to build a career in the energy sector.
- Attitude: A willingness to learn, take direction, and prioritize shop safety.
Level 2 – Intermediate
- Experience: 2–5 years of direct experience with wellhead or valve repair and assembly.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of wellhead components and gate valves (Wedge and Slab styles).
- Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with pressure testing procedures.
Level 3 – Senior
- Experience: 5+ years in wellhead and valve remanufacturing.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of API standards and strong troubleshooting/inspection skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior technicians and oversee complex remanufacturing projects.
Key Assets
- Experience with API 6A equipment.
- Current Forklift and Overhead Crane certifications.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic torque and high-pressure testing units.
- Valid Driver’s License.
