Position Summary
Wild Coast Daycare – Esquimalt is seeking a qualified and caring Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler (ECE-IT) to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide responsive, relationship-based care and education for infants and toddlers while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs and activities for infants and toddlers.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe, document, and assess children's development and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and daily communication with families.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and centre policies.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, management, and support staff.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
- Valid Infant Toddler Educator (IT) Certification.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation
$18.50 – $30.00 per hour
Compensation is based on qualifications, certifications, and experience.
