Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Shop Technician who thrives in a hands-on environment. In this role, the Shop Technician will be responsible for maintaining shop equipment, preparing tools and materials for field operations, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and keeping the shop running efficiently. Working closely with our Transportation, Operations, and Safety teams, they’ll help ensure equipment is maintained, organized, and ready to support safe and successful field operations.
Shipping / receiving
- Forklift / zoom boom operation

Handle the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and equipment while ensuring proper securement and safe handling practices

Yard inventory management, responsible for maintaining accurate records of all equipment and supplies in the yard

Assist projects team with coordinating hotshot / shipping vendors

Manage shipping documentation

Work with projects team on readying and shipping equipment load lists
Facilitate equipment maintenance / readiness
- Work with projects team on maintenance / green tag requirements

Develop, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime

Coordinate necessary repair work with equipment vendors

Monitor supply stock within the office/yard and place orders as needed
Safety & Compliance
- Lead daily safety meetings
- Maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while ensuring the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
What Skills and Training Do You Need?

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
- Pump and Hydraulics experience preferred.

Forklift or Zoom boom Ticket required.
- Experience in a physically demanding role; Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly on shift and throughout the shift.

Ability to develop maintenance schedules and implement shop systems.

Excellent safety record with experience in oil and gas on project worksites.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and execute tasks with limited supervision.
