We're looking for a compassionate and dependable bilingual (English/Spanish) Health Care Aide to provide one-on-one care for clients in East Edmonton and Sherwood Park.
Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish, as this position includes providing care for a client who communicates exclusively in Spanish.

Schedule & Availability
We are currently hiring caregivers who can provide consistent availability.
The following shifts are currently available:
Day Shifts
- Monday to Thursday: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Friday: 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Evening Shifts
- Monday to Sunday: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Applicants may apply for the daytime shifts, evening shifts, or both, depending on their availability.
Additional hours may also be available based on client needs and caregiver availability.
What You'll Do
Every client is unique, but responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Supporting mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
- Providing medication assistance within the Health Care Aide scope of practice.
- Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Monitoring for changes in a client's health or well-being and communicating concerns promptly.
- Escorting clients to appointments and community outings when required.
- Completing accurate and timely documentation.
- Working independently while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and compassion.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (required).
- Health Care Aide Certificate.
- Current CLHA registration in good standing.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle to travel between client homes.
Experience & Skills
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 2 years of Health Care Aide experience preferred.
- Experience providing care to seniors in a home care, supportive living, or long-term care setting.
- The ability to communicate confidently and professionally in both English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care.
- Excellent observation and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with confidence and sound judgment.
- The ability to adapt to each client's unique routines, preferences, and goals.
