The HR Coordinatorwill be responsible for providing day-to day HR administrative, payroll and benefit support. He/she will assist with internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, maintain employees' records and provide support to the HR team.
Note: Candidates speaking French would be considered an asset!
Main Responsibilities: Accuracy and maintenance of HR data
Maintain HRIS system to include terminations, new hires, transfers, salary changes, promotions, LOA’s etc.
Conduct new hire orientations, and audit all required HR documentation for the employee file
Perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects, and other duties assigned by management
- Interpersonal and communication skills:
- Displaying strong customer service skills and be a demonstrated team player;
- Establishing and maintaining supportive working relationships; and * Demonstrate the ability to deal with a diverse group of people in potentially adversarial situations using a calm, tactful, discreet, and effective approach.
Organizational and time management skills: * Prioritizing and planning work activities in order to manage time efficiently while managing a high volume of work. * Ability to Multitask and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: Post secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or in another related field, is preferred.
As an HR Coordinator you would need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current HR management practices, employment standards, and federal and provincial legislations (e.g. employment laws) Knowledge of other provincial legislations is an asset . You should be in pursuit of CHRP or in pursuit of the designation have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of related human resources experience and must demonstrate a good understanding of HR processes, procedures and policies.
Strong computer skills-Microsoft Office products and HRIS system experience. French as a 1st or 2nd Language will be considered a strong asset.
