Position Title: General Foreman, Mill Process Plant (14x14)
Salary range: $100 per hour + OT after 8 hours a day
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman, Mill Process Plant to support our client, a growing mining company focused on the development and production of high-grade resources. This is a short-term assignment at a remote mining site, supporting mill and process plant activities, working a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation. The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership and coordination of mill/process plant work, supervising crews and subcontractors while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and site requirements. Candidates should have strong experience working around mill and mineral processing plants, with knowledge of areas such as flotation, separation, process circuits, crushing, conveying, and material handling systems.
References, criminal background check and medical is required.

Main Accountabilities:
- Supervise daily mill and process plant operations, including crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering, paste, and tailings
- Monitor process and equipment performance to maximize grade, recovery, throughput, and overall plant efficiency
- Lead, coach, and support mill operators, ensuring safe work practices, operating procedures, and performance standards are consistently followed
- Work closely with the Mill Manager and site leadership to identify operational issues and implement corrective actions
- Investigate safety incidents and near misses, ensuring findings and corrective actions are properly documented and communicated
- Conduct employee evaluations, training, coaching, and team development to maintain a skilled and effective mill operations team
- Lead safety meetings, hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations while promoting a strong site-wide safety culture
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime, support preventative maintenance, and ensure critical parts and resources are available
- Oversee quality control and product sampling in coordination with the Metallurgical Laboratory to maintain required product specifications
- Support production planning and ensure daily and shift processing targets are achieved safely and efficiently
- Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental requirements, including water management, tailings, waste, and emissions
- Prepare and communicate reports covering production, safety, equipment performance, quality, environmental compliance, and operational issues
- Work with Metallurgy, Process, and Engineering teams to optimize flotation performance, recovery, grade, and overall process efficiency
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving process, equipment, and production issues throughout the mill and processing circuits
- Lead lockout/tagout activities and coordinate shutdown preparation, ensuring work is properly planned and safely executed
- Conduct pre-shift toolbox meetings to review daily priorities, hazards, production targets, and safety requirements
Promote continuous improvement across the mill and process plant to support the company's goal of efficiently developing and producing high-grade resources

Main Qualifications:
- Strong flotation experience is a priority and candidates should have hands-on experience operating and optimizing flotation circuits
- 3–5+ years of experience in mineral processing operations, preferably within a mill, concentrator, or mineral processing plant environment
- Experience with crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering, paste, and tailings systems is strongly preferred
- Experience working with flotation circuits and mineral separation processes, with an understanding of grade, recovery, throughput, and process optimization
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop mill and process plant personnel
- Strong knowledge of mine safety, environmental requirements, and safe work practices within a mining or processing environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly when troubleshooting process, equipment, and production issues
- Experience with production planning, cost control, equipment performance, and operational reporting is an asset
- Proficient with computerized systems used for process monitoring, data analysis, production reporting, and process control
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with operators, maintenance teams, contractors, engineers, and site management
