Under the direction of the Manager of Business and Learning Technologies, the Team Manager Assets and Infrastructure is responsible for managing the district’s data centres, network infrastructure, telecom services, servers, data storage, and technological assets; supervising the Assets and Inventory Team as well as the Network and Infrastructure Team.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of hardware, telecommunications, cloud computing and network concepts for the full range of computer configurations and device installations.
Good knowledge of the capacities and capabilities of computers, information technology and information management as a whole, and apply them to the business and academic requirements of the Board.
Must have excellent planning, organization, presentation, interpersonal, supervisory and communication skills, as well as Project management skills in order to develop and implement large scale projects.
Educational and Experience Required: This level of expertise would normally be obtained through the completion of a three year college program or university degree, and 8-10 years of progressive experience in an Information Systems environment, which includes at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role in providing technical services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management certification is considered an asset.
