NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAY PROGRAM LEADERS (15 Summer Positions)

The YWCA of Lethbridge and District is looking for energetic people who love to work with
children in the Neighbourhood Play Program (NPP).

Job Description:
NPP is dedicated to providing quality programming to children aged six to twelve in
various neighbourhoods throughout the City of Lethbridge and Town of Coalhurst. This
program encourages Learning through Play. Reporting to the Neighbourhood Play Program
Supervisor, Leaders are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating
recreational programs for children attending the program. This summer position is 25
hours per week (June 17, 2019- August 16, 2019).

Qualifications:
Knowledge of children and youth programming, awareness of related community
programs and community needs in relation to child and youth leisure services. Successful
applicants must have strong communication, public relations, interpersonal, decision-
making and conflict resolution skills.

Education:
Working towards a College Diploma in Recreation or Child and Youth Work or working
towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Education, Physical Education or related
experience/ education.
