Our client is seeking an independent and detail-oriented
Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join their Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong grasp of payroll processes and benefit administration. Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500+ hourly and salaried employees across multiple provinces
- Serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding pay, vacation, benefits, pension, and disability
- Administer benefit and pension enrollments/changes, and manage short-term and long-term disability claims.
- Assist with year-end payroll responsibilities and new payroll platform rollout
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of full-cycle payroll processing for minimum 300+ employees
- Experience with a unionized environment and the implications for payroll processing; exposure to interprovincial payroll
- PCP designation, or working towards it
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.
- Experience with ADP, Ceridian, or Oracle an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates located within a 30-minute commute of Cambridge, ON
