Ready to be the backbone of our lending department and keep everything running smoothly? As the Commercial Services Administrator, you’ll be the go-to-person for providing essential support services. You’ll dive into reporting and file maintenance, process credit applications, and prepare and execute loan packages and documentation – all while making sure we stay compliant with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities and Focus:
- Deliver exceptional member service and foster strong member relations by interacting professionally and amicably with members, co-workers, and system partners.
- Assist in compiling credit information to determine creditworthiness and establish credit limits. Tasks include obtaining credit reports, contacting businesses, legal counsel, former creditors, and personal references.
- Assist in preparing loan packages and documentation, conducting loan audits, and following up on outstanding items before fund disbursement. Prepare cheques or disbursement memos/vouchers for approved loans and maintain loan documentation files.
- Ensures all title issues are met and that loans are properly recorded. Prepare security agreements for registration; conduct appropriate searches and register security agreements. Maintains a log for all new and maturing security interest.
- Checks loan records and changes to loan records reports to verify completeness and accuracy of data input. Monitors for potential problems and initiates corrective action as appropriate and follows-up to ensure corrections are made.
- Prepares renewal documentation for line-of-credit, mortgage loans and business term loans; tracks renewals and follows-up as required.
- Assists with tracking and compiling necessary documentation and follow up for the review process for loans.
- Maintain the Commercial Loan master list and follow up on fire insurance, financial statements, updated inventory lists, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Administer and maintain property tax accounts and payments, credit insurance records, reports, and submissions, fire insurance coverage, and other necessary reports and submissions.
- Follow up on overdraft and delinquent accounts, document contacts and outcomes, and refer unresolved cases to senior staff for further action.
- Maintains office filing system, including correspondence and related administrative records.
- Cross sells borrowers on the benefits of utilizing other credit union services. Participate in the promotion of credit union’s special promotion, member, and community events.
- Provide support to other members of the administrative team and complete other duties and projects as assigned.
The successful candidate will have successfully completed a post-secondary business program, plus have three to five years’ related experience in a financial institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Epic time management and organizational skills; slicing through your to-do-list with precision and style
- Mastery at cracking life’s toughest puzzles and making the smartest choices with top-notch decision making and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, and 0365.
