Construction Safety Officer (CSO)

We are looking for an individual who will provide health and safety leadership and promotes a culture of health and safety commitment to our site in Surrey. We are looking for an ambitious, organized, individual with an above standard high attention to detail to see perfectly executed finishes.
Your Work Will Revolve Around
Daily
- Administering first aid
- Formal project site inspections
- Providing safety and environmental guidance and support
- Executing Incident Reports
- Reviewing and tracking tool box minutes and Hazard Assessment forms
- Reviewing Site Safety Inspection Reports and all safety equipment and material
- Completing Safety Orientations and new safe work procedures
- Reviewing trade safety plans and WorkSafe procedures
- Providing information and support with respect to the application of safety to field personnel
Monthly
- Providing Project Statistics (Accident) Reports
- Preparing trend analysis and monthly reports
- Reviewing Construction and Trade Safety Correspondence
- Maintaining the Construction Health & Safety Manual
What You Have
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a First Aid/CSO role, particularly with large projects with multiple subtrades
- A CSO certification
- Industrial First Aid Level 3 certification
- Strong documentation capacity with the ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Ability to multi-task, supervise and give directions to additional workers when required
- Strong organization and people skills
- Must be physically fit for work regular work duties and capable to perform physical labour work if necessary
- A trade background (preferred)
- Equipment/Machinery certifications an asset (bobcat/forklift/Zoomboom)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
