We are currently looking for senior service technicians to join our team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Pool & Spa Senior Service Technician will be involved in most aspects of pool installations and maintenance, including deliveries, installations, pool openings and closings, weekly maintenance and service calls. This individual will also assist in the delivery and set up of hot tubs as may be required from time to time.
Through a combination of training and experience the hired candidate will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform all elements of the job and be able to competently answer any customer enquiries.
This individual will be capable of and responsible for assessing unanticipated issues they may encounter which exceed the original scope of work, and be able to take the appropriate measures needed to achieve a satisfactory resolution. Delivering exceptional service to our customers in performing these duties is an essential component of this position
The ideal candidates will have 2+ years of senior service experience (or 4+ years in a junior position) including:
- Pool openings (run crew/train new staff)
- Pool closings (lead a crew)
- Pool maintenance
- Liner installation
- Safety cover installation
- Equipment installation and repair
- Troubleshooting: Determine parts and labour requirements for service calls
- Train junior staff on pool opening protocols, assist when required
- Train junior staff on weekly maintenance protocols, assist when required
- Communicate customer service requests/concerns to management
- Follow company protocol to complete scheduled tasks and manage inventory
- Maintain assigned service vehicle/tools/supplies
- Provide orientations for clients on any aspect of their pool and mechanical system, as needed
- Complete written service reports and progress reports
- Handle plumbing and pool chemicals (WHMIS training provided)
- Contribute ideas for improvement, productivity, and workplace issues
- Attend required training
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work both individually and lead a team of 1-3 junior staff
- Effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Willingness to learn and follow protocols
- Maintain a neat and organized work area
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work outdoors in most weather conditions
- Steel-toed safety footwear
- Must have a G driver’s license and clean driving record
Terms of Employment:
