The Position
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Operations Team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible to lead 8 - 10 unionized Maintenance staff to continually assess equipment and services to ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be comfortable analyzing current processes and systems to highlight areas for improvement ensuring necessary utilities are working optimally. They must also possess strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects at once.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm (hours may vary based on business needs, applicant must be willing to work overtime, including weekends as required)
Education:
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree – Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A or industrial electrician 442A
- Health & Safety Awareness and WHIMIS Training
- First Aid/CPR Training
- All licenses and certifications must be in good standing
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably from a corrugated, packaging, textile or paper industry
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience including scheduling work assignments in a unionized environment
- 1-2 years working in an order-based manufacturing environment

- Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints

- Ability to read precision measurement equipment
- Ability to effectively manage projects and complete them in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain composure under pressure in a constantly changing environment

- Familiarity with computerized work order inventory and PM systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Office and PowerPoint)

General/Daily Duties
- Working hands-on, lead and support the Maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment
- Support the Maintenance Manager to establish, maintain and improve the maintenance planning and scheduling process
- Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/preventative/predictive/design-out activities on plant equipment
- Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
- Assist with developing applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality
- Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database
- Plan larger repairs and organize crew and all necessary items needed to perform and complete assigned work. Organize outside contractors as required.
- Reading manuals arranging for parts to be ordered .
- Other duties as required
