The personnel is responsible for the handling of all goods arriving to location. Accurate receiving is maintained by procedure and precise paper work.
Responsibilities
· Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
· Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Diligence is required.
· Verification of merchandise received via paperwork and direct consultation with Sales Team
· Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
· Reconciling shipping errors of overage and shortage of merchandise
· Claims management
· Recycle cardboard, plastic and garbage
· Ensure freight room is organized, clean and a safe environment to work in
Skills
· Attention to detail is fundamental
· Strong sense of time organization and urgency
· Having good written and verbal communication skills
· Some computer skills are necessary
· Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs
· Forklift, manual pallet jack and power jack experience is an asset, however, on the job training will be provided
· Able to work individually as well as in a team environment
