The Administrative Assistant coordinates the day-to-day administrative, financial, and human resources operations of a research laboratory, ensuring the effective and efficient support of the Principal Investigator’s research activities. The role acts as a key administrative resource supporting research activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance of administrative, financial, and funding-related processes. The role provides guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external collaborators, administers processes in alignment with University and external policies, and supports the coordination of research funding applications, financial monitoring, and reporting. Working closely with the Principal Investigator, the role facilitates human resources processes, supports onboarding and training, monitors research funding and expenditures, and coordinates administrative activities that enable the successful delivery of research initiatives involving internal and external partners.
