Upfeat is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to the co-founders and management team of the company. The position has a strong emphasis on book-keeping and accounting but, whoever is hired, will also assist with human resources, data analysis, filing, and other general administrative duties as assigned. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Balance and maintain accurate account ledgers
  • Reconcile financial transactions; invoicing and billing
  • Organize and maintain physical and online filing system
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to management
  • Review job applications & help facilitate new hire orientation
  • General HR assistant duties
  • Prepare, maintain and manage interview schedules and correspondences
  • Assist in general office operations management
Qualities we are looking for:
  • Experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • Strong knowledge in general accounting principles
  • General knowledge in employment legislation and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and service oriented, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiative in addressing the duties of the position
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
Nice things to have, but not required:
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Proficiency with Accounting and Human Resource Software/Databases
