Position Overview: We seek a reliable and skilled mechanic to join our team on a part-time, casual, or on-call basis. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience working with diverse vehicles, including mini buses, sprinters, transit, and SUVs. This position offers flexible hours and presents an excellent opportunity for retired or semi-retired mechanics seeking to continue applying their expertise. We have a spacious garage equipped with a vehicle lift. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mini buses, sprinters, transit, and SUVs, including brake jobs, oil changes, differential and transmission services, and others. - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. - Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure all vehicles meet roadworthiness standards. - Maintain precise records of services and repairs performed. - Communicate effectively with management regarding vehicle status and any potential issues. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with commercial or fleet vehicles. - Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures. - Independence and time management skills. - Valid driver’s license (Class 4 or higher preferred). - Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
