Practice In Rehabilitation Inc. is currently accepting applications for contract work for experienced Kinesiologist/ Social worker/ OTA/PTA/ Therapeutic Recreation to work in the Toronto area starting as soon as possible. This position will be part-time Monday's and Wednesday's approximately 9:00am-2:00pm and potencially moving to full-time.
Successful candidates facilitate community rehabilitation programs directed by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and other regulated health care professionals to assist people to reach their optimal level of independence following a brain or spinal cord injury and other injury. Education and Experience working with individuals who sustained a brain injury is essential. The position requires staff to travel and transport clients in their own car. Candidates must be willing to drive up to an hour and possibly a little more from their home to see clients in their communities. Travel time reimbursement is provided. A car is a MUST. Motivated, creative people with experience in the development and implementation of life skills, job coaching, cognitive retraining and behavioural programming who have education in Kinesiology/ Social work/ OTA/PTA/ Therapeutic Recreation are encouraged to apply. Must have experience in Kinesiology/ Social worker/ OTA/PTA/ Therapeutic Recreation in Canada.
