About the Role: We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality and safety within our production environment. Working primarily on the afternoon shift, the Quality Control Technician will perform a variety of quality checks and inspections to ensure that all products meet our company’s rigorous quality standards. This position is essential to upholding safety, compliance, and production quality.
Location: North York, ON
Shift: Primarily Afternoon (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM)
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including promptly reporting any incidents, using personal protective equipment as required, and adhering to lockout procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly work area to promote a safe environment.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct and record quality control tests such as Weight Tolerance, Color Scan, Impact Test, and Weatherability tests. Identify any product damage or nonconformities, promptly reporting them to supervisors and ensuring all quality procedures are followed.
Environmental Compliance: Support and participate in environmental initiatives, including recycling and proper disposal as part of our waste management procedures.
Product Inspections: Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections on products, including packaging checks, product conformity assessments, and adherence to production standards.
Calibration & Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine calibration on essential quality control equipment and maintain accurate documentation of all calibration results.
Reporting & Documentation: Accurately document production numbers, machine speeds, and create regular Quality Control Summary Reports to ensure ongoing tracking of quality metrics.
Education & Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements: Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Technical Proficiency: Competence in operating quality control lab equipment, conducting equipment calibration, and performing detailed inspections.
Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed and to assist in training other team members as assigned.
