Administrative Assistant
Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the therapists and clinical manager. This role will work closely with the Clinic Manager to ensure that administrative tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Knowledge of MVA and WCB claims process is an asset. We are Specifically looking for candidates to cover Monday 3-8pm, Wednesday 3-8pm and Saturdays as needed.
Duties will include:
- Answering phone calls.
- Scheduling patients/booking appointments.
- Invoicing and following up on payments from patients and insurance companies.
- Maintaining inventory and account receivables.
- Time and task management.
- Assist therapist during patient interactions.
- Use communication tools as required to handle patients with paperwork, rules of insurances payments.
- Help therapist set up or wind down treatment sessions as instructed by the therapist.
- Setup or close the clinic as appropriate for safe running of clinic and caseload.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in an office environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with little supervision.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Administrative experience: 1 year (required)
- Physiotherapy/Chiro/Medical Office: 1 year (required)
