We’re Hiring!
We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Maintenance Technician at our Leamington ON facility.
What You'll Do:
-
Review work orders in ConnectWise, prioritize tasks with guidance from management, and close work orders upon completion.
-
Accurately update and document work orders as completed.
-
Troubleshoot and complete routine repairs, general maintenance, and preventative maintenance, including installation and upkeep of machines and equipment, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance as directed.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities as directed.
-
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, conduct tests, and make necessary adjustments.

Perform plumbing and general maintenance tasks around the farm, such as fixing bathroom/lunchroom leaks, repairing greenhouse irrigation, and maintaining scissor carts.

Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment, to complete duties safely and efficiently.

Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual issues to management.

Request and retrieve parts from the Tool Crib as needed for repairs, and return if necessary.

Assist in the greenhouse with crop cleanout and other support tasks.

Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures

What You Bring:
-
0-3+ years of general farm maintenance experience is an asset.
-
Welding experience is an asset.
-
Experience using both manual and electrical tools.
-
Ability to read, interpret, and act on work orders and diverse report formats.
-
Familiarity with interpreting manuals and technical drawings is an asset.
-
Basic understanding of math principles.
-
Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
-
Strong multi-tasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
-
Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
-
Dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.

Maintain high degree of confidentiality regarding job-related matters.
What To Expect:
-
Fast paced greenhouse/warehouse environment where temperatures can be very hot, humid, moist or cold for most of the year. May be exposed to pests in the greenhouse.

Working at heights may be required.
-
Balance periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse, with occasional travel between work phases.
-
Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision throughout the workday.
-
Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of individuals from various backgrounds and cultures.
-
Safety shoes required at all times.
-
Standard workdays are Monday-Saturday, with additional hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, and on-call hours depending on production schedules.

Ability to lift and carry items typically ranging from 10–50 kg (22–110 lbs), depending on role requirements.
-
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
-
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to perform tasks at varying heights or to reach items at floor level.
-
Ability to wear PPE such as gloves, safety shoes, hard hats, eye protection, or hearing protection throughout the workday.

Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
