Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, experience in caregiving, and a commitment to fostering positive developmental experiences. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other classroom activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play.
- Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, and other interactive activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a positive community atmosphere.
- Follow all safety protocols and policies related to child care and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is must
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving techniques.
- Strong ability to engage children in meaningful activities while maintaining patience and understanding.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate reliability, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children. Pay: $15.58-$25.24 per hour
