Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Internal Audit, the Manager, Data Assurance and Analytics will be responsible for helping to develop and implement the Internal Audit (IA) data strategy. This includes the responsibility for embedding and continuously improving data analytics within the audits executed as part of IA's annual audit plan as well as playing a key role in planning and delivering advanced analytic engagements within the plan. Other areas of focus include socializing and training IA team members in data analytics concepts and processes and assisting in the development of continuous auditing and risk monitoring solutions. As part of both a Canadian and global team, the role will also have responsibilities assisting with leading a local team as well as aligning with the larger team outside of Canada.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
University degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer or Data Science, or another related field.
A recognized professional certification in analytics or accounting/auditing (such as CAP, CPA or CIA).
5+ years of progressive experience with BI and analytic tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ACL, IDEA and experience with ETL. In addition, this experience should be in an environment analyzing complex data to identify anomalies and provide usable information to internal and external stakeholders.
