About the Role
We are looking for a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice with strong residential installation experience, ideally in custom homes. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, can work efficiently on-site, and wants to grow within a supportive and reputable mechanical contracting team.
You will work alongside experienced journeypersons and installers on custom residential HVAC installations, including ductwork, heat pumps, HRVs, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC ductwork (sheet metal, flex, boots, returns, supply runs, etc.) in custom homes.
- Assist with heat pump, furnace, and HRV installations.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fit sheet metal components according to plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, mechanical plans, and site layouts.
- Ensure all work meets BC Building Code, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with the site lead, journeypersons, and homeowners when required.
- Support the team with additional tasks related to residential HVAC installations.
Qualifications
- Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice in BC.
- Residential installation experience is required — custom home experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools related to sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00-$48.00 per hour
