NUMIS CPAsis looking for a motivated and detail oriented Accountant to join our team! Reporting to the Manager, the Accountant will mainly work on compilation, tax and consulting engagements from a wide variety of industries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare working papers and support for the completion of financial statements
- Prepare corporate and individual tax returns
- Prepare sales tax returns
- Prepare and/or review monthly bookkeeping engagements
- Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services
Qualifications
- CPA Designation, Enrolled in CPA Program, or CPA track
- 2+ years with relevant public practice experience
- Experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
- Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online, Asana, and SharePoint considered an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, then come together as a team when needed
- Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities
