Esplanade Cleaners is looking for an on-site experienced alterations seamstress, to fill a part-time position at our busy downtown Toronto location. We have been serving the local community for over 25 years, and are looking for a candidate that is dependable, confident, flexible, and has excellent communication skills to join our team. Must be able to work unsupervised. Hourly rate starts at: $22.00 + 4% vacation pay.
Experience/Skills Required:
-Minimum 2 years experience as a seamstress doing clothing alterations
-High quality workmanship: shortening/lengthening sleeves/pants, tapering, letting out/taking in, zippers, lining replacement, sewing by hand, fitting, pressing/touching up etc.)
-Ability to work unsupervised
-Demonstrates the ability to prioritize their work/uses good judgement
-Excellent customer service/communication skills
Starting Salary: $22.00 per hour + 4% Vacation Pay (approx. 10-20 hours/week)
