We currently have an opening for an Process/ Production Supervisor based out of our location in Moose Jaw, SK.
The Process/ Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction to all employees to meet our customers’ needs, maintaining quality, food safety, and the health and safety of our employees.
Responsibilities
- Plans manpower requirements.
- Provides leadership and direct supervision to employees.
- Manages safe, cost effective, efficient production.
- Continuously improve manufacturing process, efficiencies, and quality.
- Ensures compliance with Company policies, federal and provincial legislation.
- Provides a safe working environment for all employees, and compliance to the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Company operating procedures and policies.
- Ensures the quality of our product, ensure all HACCP, CFIA and Food Safe regulations are followed.
- Maintains a positive employee relations environment.
- Leads by example, provide leadership by setting team goals and objectives.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in logistics and freight movement.
- Great interpersonal skills and a great leader; Good listening skills.
- Self-directing, motivated, and passionate.
- Familiar with business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and inventory stewardship.
- Ability to set goals and create accountability. Lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
- Organized and ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills – written / spoken.
- Bachelor of Commerce an asset.
- Working knowledge of WorkSafeSask regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Moose Jaw, SK S6H 6T5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Meat processing Plant/ Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
