Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Flat Roofer Forman specializing in Flat Roofing to lead our roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of roofing techniques, and the ability to oversee daily operations on construction sites. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all phases of roofing projects. A background in TPO, EPDM, Cold applied & Modified roofing is highly valued.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate roofing crews on flat roofing projects to ensure timely and quality completion
- Expertly install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials like modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment required for roofing tasks
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Perform or assist with heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment as needed
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify adherence to specifications and standards
- Manage material inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage on-site
- Collaborate with production & sales managers
- Train and mentor team members in proper roofing techniques, safety procedures, and tool usage
Skills:
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment used in roofing construction
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.)
- Strong background in TPO, EPDM, other cold applied and modified roofing experience
- Ability to read and follow work order instructions and drawings
- Skilled in all techniques to ensure waterproofing integrity of flat roofs
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures relevant to roofing and construction sites
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and project stakeholders
- Use of digital tools for tracking time, pictures and communication
Must haves:
- Prior foreman or lead-hand experience is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in flat roofing, specifically with TPO
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
- Valid Working at Heights certificate
- Valid drivers license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract.
- Reliable transportation daily to and from our shop
- Experience driving cub van, f550, f650 or other larger vehicle and the ability to tow and maneuver a trailer is a plus
- Experience fabricating, installing, repairing and replacing different types of sheet metal coping, metal roofs and flashings.
- Basic and advanced tools of the commercial flat roofing trade
- All required PPE

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
