Overview
This is a part-time, AM position and the candidate will have to have Saturday and Sunday availability.
We are seeking a focused and passionate Pastry Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves creating iconic desserts that emphasize Harbour Sixty's brand of excellence and luxury, to delight our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry preparation, with a keen eye for detail and presentation, as well as production experience. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team behind the scenes at Harbour Sixty Steakhouse.
Responsibilities
- Make, portion, shape, proof, and bake breads daily for our bread program
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all products meet food safety and handling regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks for pastry station
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work stations
- Follow proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation
- Ability to work large parties and banquets
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and clean in a fast-paced line
